Prep, Priming, and a new site…
Greetings internet, I've missed you dearly. I've been busily slaving away with airbrushes and sandpaper and life as usual and haven't had time to update. Say 'Hello' to the new site. Currently it's just a shell until I get to designing the new layout and such. I'll be transferring all of my Gunpla related articles from my old blog here rather quickly.
So if you've been on my Tumblr then you've already seen the GP-03 and my failed Zaku. If not, its some fun stuff to look at. I'm currently building an Astray Blue Frame MG and either a Qubeley or Infinite Justice after.
Anyway, more later. Just wanted to poke my head back in.
00 Raiser Progress
Here’s the Endoskeleton so far for the PG 00 Raiser. It’s been a while since I did my first PG and I forgot how fucking huge and details they are. I feel like I’m breaking stuff by doing anything to it half the time. Anyway, I’m going to be painting it a dark metallic red as the earlier image showed. Let’s see how this all works. Color scheme and progress photos under the cut.
Also, I think the GP-03 is ready for linework. I’m a little nervous as everyone says I should do a wash when I just want to use pens. PEER PRESURE.
Spray Booth: Operational

So I did it. Finally. I was having an off night where I didn't feel like going out and I said to myself, "Shit, might as well test out this spray booth."
I didn't want to break out the airbrush quite yet and I had pre-primed Custom GM pieces, so I said, "Let's do this." In the above picture you can see my progression from too much paint to an attempt at hand painting and then watching a couple YouTube videos and figuring out the "short quick bursts" of paint technique from Vegeta8259 using a spray can.
I got through a few more pieces and then decided while the others were drying that I would try using the 'Mica Silver' on the frame. It looks rad and I can't wait to finish up the rest of the pieces. This was the Custom GM I blogged about a while ago, and I can't wait to get it put together and do some cool white accents on this thing.
Tomorrow I am required to do some freelancing and repairing a damaged Macbook. Hopefully I can get all of this out of the way quickly so I can get back to painting. Or if I'm lucky, getting a couple quick coats of paint down and then do more work.
Life is rough, I guess. World's smallest violin is playing for me right now, I know.
