BRAKE FLUID //
- Never use brake fluid that has been exposed to moisture
- Always thoroughly wipe the cap to the brake fluid reservoir to prevent foreign materials from contaminating the fluid
POWER STEERING FLUID //
- Check the fluid with the car warmed up
- Add correct type of fluid if low
- If frequent topping off is required, inspect for leaks and replace if contaminated
FUEL FILTER //
- Located in the fuel line, the fuel filter removes impurities from the fuel before it enters the carburetor or injector system
- Check the fuel filter every 12 months or 12,000 miles
AIR FILTER //
- Inspect your engine air filter at each oil change to make sure it’s clean
- Change your air filter every 12,000 to 24,000 miles; however excessive off-road driving may require a filter change before 12,000 miles
CABIN AIR FILTER //
- Your cabin air filter helps prevent mold spores, pollen and dust from entering your truck’s cabin
- Replace your cabin air filter when you replace your engine air filter
MUD WRESTLING
As with sand, maintain momentum in mud without creating excessive wheelspin. If you sense a loss of traction, turn your steering wheel back and forth, lock-to-lock, to allow the tire to get a bite in the terrain.
CLIMBING HILLS
Drive straight up and down hills. Traveling perpendicular to the slope increases your chances of rolling the truck.
QUICK FIX
Duct tape can repair the following (at least temporarily): Tear in a tire sidewall, leaking radiator hoses, missing gas cap, ripped upholstery, holes torn in tonneau covers or rag tops.
